Bernier and the Boys

TSN
Tonight I figured I would watch the Leaf game as they play Colorado! But the promise TSN made "more channels, more games to watch" is a lie! The game wasn't "available in my area" but people in Nunuvat could watch the game! So, I started following the sports apps, and watching highlights and all I can say is I really hope the leafs can dig deep and get a win! 2 points would be amazing right now, and good for Bernier too! I'm attending the Ottawa, Toronto game on this upcoming Sunday, and if Bernier keeps winning, then Bernier wil keep playing! And I would LOVE to watch my favourite goalie play! I would keep awake and wait until the game is over to see about the final score, but I could really use some sleep so I can participate and work well in my English class tomorrow!

Arizona
Who else was rattled when Reimer started last night? He is not our starting goalie, yes he could potentially be a starter, but why take away playing time from Bernier? He's the maple leafs starter, and he belongs in the crease. Carlyle went with the "hot hand" after the Blackhawks game, but what if it was just a fluke? I know when I played hockey that when you start getting peppered with shots, you get more focused in the game and feel more comfortable in the net. The thing is trying to carry on your own momentum into the next game, and Bernier can do that.

Saturday nights
Bernier is absolutely horrible on Saturday nights, but that's not his fault. If anybody watched the most recent game against the Blackhawks, you saw Reimer making a start. He made a solid 26 save performance just in the third period alone, but if you noticed the goal by seabrook, he shot glove side. The league knows about Reimers weakness on the glove hand. I would rather a potential elite goalie (Bernier) who has no real weakness starting 50-60 of the Maple Leafs games this year. When Toronto acquired Bernier from the Kings I was really excited knowing we have good potential. With Bernier on the rise to be one of the best goalies in the league, and our big 3 (JVR-Bozak-Kessel) AND Morgan Reilly who also has potential to be an elite blue liner, I can tell that Toronto's future is very bright.

Struggling
1-2-0... Game four is tonight, Reimer will get the start after leaving last game with a bump in the head by a ranger player. Reimer has a history of getting concussions!
If you watched the game Saturday night between the Leafs and Penguins, and you happened to watch Don Cherry's rant (which to some sounds like a crazy old man complaining) you would probably hear that the leafs are drafting "little, tiny forwards" and passing up impact size players. This years draft, they took William Nylander. He has good vision on the ice, but hes very small. They passed Nick Ritchie, 6'2 220lbs. He's a solid forward who would excel on any team. The last GREAT player the Leafs took was Wendel Clark.
